Meet the Founder
Afia Lockett
Founder & DirectorAfia Lockett started her journey as an Environmental Educator with Dr. Alli Injaian's experiential learning course at the Odum School of Ecology. After graduating with her BS in Ecology from the University of Georgia, she joined Dunwoody Nature Center as a Program Lead. She noticed the need for every child — regardless of zip code, race, or school budget — to feel at home in the natural world. That can begin with one field trip. One hike of curious questions. One person to make a difference in our community.
